Alexia Villard is a photographer and visual artist based in Lyon. After graduating from la Sorbonne University in Paris with a BA in Cinematography (2006) and from Paris VIII University with a BA in Fine Art Photography (2009), Alexia completed a MA in Fine Art Photography at the London College of Communication (2012). Her work explores different forms of documentary, as she photographs objects and people close to her, she reflects on intimate and personal issues. She has been published in numerous online and paper magazines such as Ain’t bad, Ignant, Float Magazine , MP6 , Uncertain State and more recently ZONE Magazine (2020). She completed two residencies, the latest in 2017 at the Hangar Art Center in Lisbon during which I created the series ‘Saudade’. She recently became a mum and moved from Berlin to Lyon .
